Mlini is located on the area named Parish of Dubrovnik, characterized by dense Mediterranean vegetation. It is only 11km away from Dubrovnik. This beautiful place has its own river, Zavrelje, shallow pebble beaches and protected coves, floral gardens and promenades, hotels, villas and summer houses. The name Mlini comes from the mills (mlin) which were used to obtain water from Zavrelje. In the past, the town was known as Molina. It has numerous fragrant parks and historical and cultural heritage from the ancient times. The historic churches of St. Roko and St. Duh are cultural sites which should be visited. Today, Mlini is one of the most developed tourist areas in the Dubrovnik region. Sports and active vacation lovers can enjoy diving, jet-ski, windsurfing, water skiing, parasailing, soccer, volleyball, cycling, tennis, fishig, hiking and lots of other activities. Those in search of fun and entertainment can enjoy themselves in the cafes “Spiona”, “Porto”, slubs “23” and “Vertigo”. Of the places of interest you can visit the church of St. Michael, church of the Lady of Lužin, the Great Kaštio, offices of the Dubrovnik Republic, count’s palace, Napoleon’s road, Gudnja cave and the stone wall (the longest stone wall in Europe; 5.5 km).
