Rabac

Tourist destination info Rabac

Rabac is a tourist center and a port on the southeast coast of Istria, situated in a beautiful bay close to Labin. The bay features a lovely pebble beach which is surrounded by lush vegetation. The town itself is known for the quality of its tourist services. In this small town, which was a fishing settlement till the 19th century, summer homes are gradually growing and turning it into a fashionable health resort. We also recommend Rabac for your family vacation due to its clear sea, beautiful beaches and a range of tourist services. The most beautiful sandy beaches such as Maslenica, Sv. Andrea Lanterna and Girandella have received a "Blue Flag". There is also a promenade along the sea which is great for children's cycling, jogging or rollerblading, while the restaurants offer excellent cuisine for the whole family. Numerous sports facilities on the beaches make Rabac an attractive seaside resort in this part of the Istrian coast.

Sports and recreation fans can enjoy the aqua park, table tennis, mini golf, horse riding, hunting, fishing, scuba diving, sailing, hiking, beach volleyball, paintball and many other activities. Various events are held during the summer meant for the older and the younger generations. In the past few years, the town hosted several electronic music festivals such as the “Rabac summer festival” and the “house party-em – back 2 love” which has made the town more attractive to younger folks. Food lovers can taste Istrian cuisine and local specialties in the following restaurants : “Stari Hrast,” “La Terazza,” “Galeb” and “Villa Anette.” During your stay in Rabac be sure to visit Rijeka, Opatija, Poreč and Rovinj all of which are significant tourist destinations on the Istrian peninsula.

Must-see places:

Rijeka is a port city which is also the center of Primorje-Gorski Kotar county. The symbol of this city is the Morcic – a type of jewelry worn by seafarers to protect them from danger at sea. Visit the many historical monuments which are evidence of the city’s turbulent past: Municipija palace, church of St. Jerome, university library, museum of modern and contemporary art, governor’s palace, maritime and historical museum of the Croatian coast, Rijeka city museum, natural museum, judiciary palace, church of St. Vitus, old gate, Komuna palace, city walls, Adam’s residence, Modello palace, Orthodox church of St. Nicholas, city tower, Jadran palace, church of Kapucin, Ploech palace and various others.

Opatija is a destination with the longest tradition of tourism in Croatia. The city’s parks, seaside promenade, tidy swimming areas, fountains and numerous aged villas are the reason that tourists return to Opatija year after year. Visit the following cultural monuments of this city: church of St. Jacob, parish Church of the Annunciation, evangelical church, church of St. Anne, parish church of St. Mark, park Angiolina, park St. Jakob, Lungomare, villa Angiolina and numerous other monuments.

Poreč is one of the larger tourist destinations on the Istrian peninsula. The city is famous for its historical monuments (the North fortress, the Fivepoints fortress, canons, medieval city walls and the Euphrasian Basilica) and its natural beauty (Baredine, Mark’s and Pincinova caves, group of trees near the St. Anne church by Červar). Sport and recreation fans can enjoy activities such as scuba diving, jet-ski riding, fishing, water skiing, walking, biking, golf, hunting or paintball. Those who prefer extreme sports can experience mountain climbing or activities at the adrenalin park “Akros.”

Rovinj is a small city located on the western coast of Istria. It is rich with natural beauty such as Limska Draga, the Rovinj islands and coastal region, “Zlatni Rat” Forest Park, “Fantazija” quarry, “Palud” marsh and the Dvije Sestrice islands. Apart from its natural beauty, it is rich with historical landmarks, of which we recommend the following: Old Town, City Walls and Gates, Church of St. Eufemia, Baptistry of the Holy Trinity, Franciscan Monastery and the castle on the island of St. Andrew.

Authentic, charming small Dalmatian town, with all its accessories. Countless shops, bakeries, cafés, restaurants, town beach, harbor, seaside promenade, old houses and churches. Cultural programs, pop and classical music concerts. Dubrovnik and Montenegro proximity provides plenty of opportunity for sightseeing trips. The city also has several beaches, what concrete slabs, gravel beach in front of the Town Hall was used because it was the closest. The water is clear, showering facilities and a dressing room is a simple.

      Cavtat surprising
Any Croatia summarized in this beautiful setting: Nature beautiful preserved despite pressure from tourism (Dubrovnik airport so close). Home and friendliness of Croats to these invaders tourists we are. Preservation of and compliance of this nature truly gift of the Gods. Weather unsurprisingly, sun and blue sky that gives this palette of blue peculiar to the sea. Varied and complete selection of services for the discovery of the country and its traditions. Ensured quality accommodation.

      Un luogo per rilassarsi
The beauty of the place. The beaches are mainly of rocks. There are few pebbly coves.
Often, the water appears oliosa, the frequent passage of boats.
