The Plitvice Lakes are the most renowned national park in Croatia, and is also one of the most beautiful sites of nature in all of Europe. With an abundance and grandure of the water, the thundering of the many water falls, the power of nature leaves all of our guests in awe when they experience the Plitvice Lakes. They are located at the spring of the river Korane, at an altitude of 480 to 636m, between the mountains Mala Kapela and Ličke Plješevice.

The Plitvice lakes comprise of 16 terrace like lakes, all interconected by waterfalls, and kilometers of wooden bridges and forrest paths allow for a close incounter with the lakes. nature creatinf waterfalls, with forrests and plant life of the national park and wild life in the waters and around them, thrill all of our guests every year. between the partitions in the lakes, beautifal waterfalls occur in a special way that nature has allowed for thousands of years. Calcium deposits that have collected at the bottom of the lakes and sunken objects create natural barriers, that rise above water level, constantly grow higher and wider, creating spectacular waterfalls. The great veriety of natural configurations, brought the National park to be on the UNESCO "World heritage list".

More the three quarters of the park are coverd with forrests, where the most abundant are the bukva and jela trees. With a wide array of fauna, the most famous tennants are the bear and wolf. In the park ther are more then 140 registered species of birds, of which 70 stay year round.

Unique beauty of the lakes and waterfalls, walking through the forrests paths, and wooden bridges, comforts of the hotels and restaurants with domestic specialites, and a convenient location between Zagreb and Dalmatia, draw guests throughout the year.

There are two entries into the park where visitors can get all the necessary information and buy their ticket, which proceeds go to the continous upkeep and preservation of the Plitvice lakes.
