Sevid

Tourist destination info Sevid

Sevid is a small town near Trogir, with family houses and concrete beaches, ideal for a quiet holiday. It is a Mediterranean town of unspoiled nature and crystal clear sea, exuding calm and tranquility, away from urban areas and daily traffic jams. The local population engages in agriculture (growing of grapes and olives) and fishing. The saint patron of Sevid is St. Vid to whom the people have built a church, whose ruins still exist. Sevid has a rich gastro domestic offer: extra virgin olive oil, anchovies, Dalmatian smoked ham, goat cheese from the Dalmatian hinterland, quality lamb, quality fish, shrimps, clams, lobsters and quality wine produced in ancient local taverns. If you wish to taste the delicacies of this region visit the tavern "Lantern". You can enjoy a day trip to nearby islands where you will find secluded beaches and truly escape the crowds. Visit the towns close to Sevid  which are themselves monuments (Šibenik, Trogir and Split). If you want to try to go hiking you can do so in the mountains Mosor and Kozjak, with a beautiful view of our very attractive islands (Hvar, Brac, Vis) once you reach the top. To those looking for entertainment we recommend visiting Trogir, Primošten, Rogoznica and Split. Sevid is also popular among boaters as it is located in a well indented part of the Croatian coast.

Split is an eternally young town which lives at a slow pace to which it is easy to accustom. It is the second largest town in Croatia and one of the most popular and most visited tourist destinations on the Adriatic. It is rich with historical cultural sites, such as: the Diocletian’s palace – the heart of Split, Iron gate, statue of Gregory of Nin, St.Duje cathedral, St. Frane cathedral, St. Petar concathedral, Peristil, St. Ante convent and numerous others.

Trogir, or as many call it – “museum town” is located in the center of Dalmatia. Its harbor is a favorite destination for boaters because of good position and natural protection. The town is famous for its numerous historical monuments, some of which are: old town core, fort Kamerlengo, St. Marko fortress, sculpture of the Blessed Ivan Orsini, St. Jeronim chappel, Cipico palace, renaissance church of St. John the Baptist, the portal of Radovan, museum...

Sibenik is a town located on the delta of the river Krka. It is the oldest self-developed town on the Adriatic because of which it is rich with historic sites, museums and galleries. We recommend you visit St Mihovil fort, St. Nikola fort, St. Ivan fort, Subicevac fort, St. Jakov cathedral, St. Frane church, St. Dominik church and four wells. You should also visit the Sibenik town museum, AG gallery, Madrigal gallery and St. Krsevan gallery. The town is also famous for summer happenings such as: international children’s festival, Sibenik night, Evenings of Dalmatian songs, Summer organ school and the Sibenik cultural summer.
