Poljica

Tourist destination info Poljica

Poljica is a small tourist town located only 2.5 km away from Marina. It is the perfect vacation place for those in search of a quiet vacation on one of its rocky or pebbly beaches. There is no night life here, so those who are looking for entertainment of that kind can go to nearby Primošten which is home to one of the most popular night clubs in Dalmatia – Aurora. Every year in Poljica there is a contest for the best ''soparnik'' by the criteria of taste, ingredients and baking (soparnik – a Lenten dish made from Swiss Chard, parsley and onion). You can taste the specialties of this area in the “Kačina” restaurant. Marina, which is only 2.5 km away is a small town located in a bay which is well known for its beautiful beaches. The sandy and pebble beaches of Marina offer various activities such as scuba diving and sailing and you can also enjoy the culinary specialties of the area in a restaurant which is located on the beach itself. During your stay in Poljica, do not miss the nearby historical cities:

Trogir, which is only 11km away, is also known as the “museum city.” Its extraordinary historical heritage attracts many tourists. Witness its layered heritage: the Garagnin palace, North city gate, main city square, portal of Radovan, St. Lovre cathedral and many other historical monuments.

Split is located in the warmest area of the Adriatic. This eternally young city will wow you with its cultural heritage. See the heart of the city – Diocletian’s palace, promenade, Iron Gate, Gregory of Nin statue, Marjan Park and many other beauties of the city.

Šibenik is the oldest self settled city in Croatia. It is famous for its cultural heritage and the small islands which surround it (Kaprije, Žirje, Zlarin, Obonjan). Visit its fortresses and sacral monuments (St. Nicholas and St. John’s fortresses, city walls, towers and gates, Four Wells, St. Jacob’s cathedral, churches and monasteries). Take part in the numerous festivities like the choir evenings and the International Children’s Festival.

Primošten is a coastal city located on a peninsula which is surrounded by seven small islands. It is 22km away from Poljica. You can feel the Mediterranean ambiance in the town center which is comprised of stone houses and narrow streets. Its main attractions are the churches of St. George and St. Rocco. For those in search of sports and recreation, Primošten offers table tennis, tennis, beach volleyball, floaters, parasailing, jet ski riding and a diving center with a scuba diving school.

Make accommodation reservations from our offer for Poljica and enjoy the peace and quiet of this town, but if you are in search of a night life or other historical heritage, you can visit Trogir, Split, Šibenik or Primošten.

Kastel Luksic is a very nice town, there are basic shops and bars. During the month of August they do a lot of concerts and festivals of all kinds. The beach is not very long, shingle but convenient (it&;lsq;uo;s also really close to the apartment) Nearby there are a few restaurants. A walk is in Kastel Kambelovac and is called Baletna Skola. Another is in Kastel Novi and the Intrada, very popular for dinner you have to book in advance. Also in Kastel Novi there well as Skullcap restaurant also good. The Kastela coast is 14 km long and is everything from supermarkets to pharmacies. If I can recommend a beach in addition to those of Kastela, I suggest you go on the island of Ciovo which is in front, and that is connected by bridges. Or the coast after Split (Split) towards Dubrovnik. The city of Split is 14 km from Kastel Luksic and is a must as well as Trogir also nearby. A bit &;lsq;uo;more distant to the north (the kilometers I do not remember) but always easily accessible, there is the city of Sibenik.
